As it has been rightly put- “to travel is to live”. When we travel, we get out of the old and settled habits of our daily lives and feel inspired to see the world anew. This heightened sense of awareness stays with us when we go home and permanently influences our perspective on life. Excursions at Anubhuti combine education and enrichment experiences that leave lasting impressions on the minds of our children. Students are taken out for short and extended excursions. Hampi, Mysore, Chennai, Pondichery, Dandeli, Bangalore, Nainital, Almora, Delhi, Agra, Rajasthan and Jim Corbett National park are only some of the places visited. Class 8 students were sent for trekking and mountaineering to Nainital in the summer vacation for three consecutive years. One day trips at Anubhuti traditionally happen early in the first term; this time they went to Patnadevi, Shegaon, Manudevi, Pal forest and Aurangabad. This year, a trip to Dr. Prakash Amte’s Ashram at Anandvan and Hemalkasa as well as the Tadoba National park and Andhari Wildlife Reserve has been planned for class 8. Keeping our ideology in mind, these trips are planned in such a manner as to include the fun element as well as raise sensitivity through learning.
